Literary translation Literary translation can be defined as “an original subjective activity at the center of a complex network of social and cultural practices” (Bush 1998;127) Literary translation is the most sophisticated type of translation as it involves more than simply translating a text. Here, the translator should pay more attention to translating feelings, emotions, and aesthetic elements of the text. To transfer the meaning of the text is not an end in itself in literary works. Another issue which makes the process of translating literary works harder is that the author's style could be interpreted differently by readers from different cultures and time.
