On 30 April 2023, a referendum on constitutional amendments was held in Uzbekistan. The new constitution consists of 155 articles and strengthens human rights and freedoms. The presidential term was reduced from 7 to 5 years. The amendments aim to ensure sustainable development through innovative economic reforms
